According to reports, Barcelona are set to sign Senegal international Moussa Wague with the fullback to play for the club’s B team this coming season.

The 19-year-old caught the eye at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia where he became the first African teenager to score at the world showpiece. Wague found the back of the net in a 2-2 draw against Japan.

Wague made 43 appearances for KAS Eupen across all competitions in Belgium last season.

According to Marca, the teenager will train with Ernesto Valverde’s First Team squad, but play for the B team where he will fill the void left by Mateu Jaume Morey who picked up a meniscus injury.

The long term goal is reportedly for Wague to push for a First Team spot with Sergi Roberto to move back into the midfield.

Barcelona are expected to officially announce his arrival this weekend.
