Kaizer Chiefs striker Ryan Moon says he is learning his goal poaching tricks from the experienced Amakhosi striker Bernard Parker.
The 21-year-old struggled with a knee injury earlier in the season, but has raised his hand as the club’s prolific scorer.
Moon has netted three goals in their previous four outings in the Absa Premiership and will be key heading to their Nedbank Cup, Last 32 clash against Golden Arrows this weekend.
He also revealed that it is great to work with coach Steve Komphela as the former Bafana Bafana skipper believes in him.
“It’s great to have a coach who believes in you,” Moon told his club’s website.
“We have some fantastic strikers, like Bernard Parker, Gustavo Páez and Leonardo Castro.
“The competition for places up-front is strong and I am by far the youngest. I really admire the coach, also for having faith in me.
“I watch a lot of different strikers. Here at Kaizer Chiefs, I learn a lot from Bernard Parker, who regularly talks to me about what to do in certain situations.
“Bernard played at the highest level in Europe and he mentors me a lot from what he learnt, which is fantastic.
“Otherwise, I look at all types of strikers – each has his own strength to learn from. The best examples to watch at the moment are, of course, Barcelona’s Luis Suárez and Tottenham Hotspurs’ Harry Kane. They are unbelievable.”
