When and where is the draw?

The UEFA Europa League draw begins at 12:00CET on Friday 16 March, taking place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. It precedes the UEFA Champions League draw, which starts at 13:00CET.

Who is in the draw?

The eight round of 16 winners – who will be confirmed when the second legs have been played on Thursday – will make up the draw.

Is there country protection?

No. This will be an open draw in which no teams are seeded and clubs from the same national association can be drawn against each other. The side drawn first will play the first leg at home.

When will the matches be played?

The first legs will be on Thursday 5 April, with the returns taking place on Thursday 12 April. The exact schedule will be confirmed in the afternoon of the draw.
