6 Asian wonderkids appears on The Guardian’s Top Young Footballers for 2016 list
British newspaper The Guardian has published the latest edition of their annual Top Young Footballers list, consisting of 60 youngsters from around the world. Here are six Asian footballers who were including on the list.
1. Sebastian Pasquali (Australia/Melbourne Victory)
An elegant central midfielder with great techniques, Pasquali is considered by experts as one of the brightest prospects in Australian football scene at the moment. He came to experts’ attention after making an appearance in an International Champions Cup match against 2015-16 Serie A champions Juventus in July.
The 16-year-old player gave an outstanding performance in Melbourne Victory’s midfield, helping them to a 1-1 draw before having the confidence to step up and take Victory’s decisive fifth penalty, which he scored to earn a famous victory for the Australian club.
